Each ride cymbal is more unique than the last, at least the good ones are. My cymbals, same brand, model and diameter might be completely different from the same one sitting on a shelf in a store. Grab your favorite stick and go hit some cymbals with your eyes shut. When one of the cymbal's sounds get stuck in your head, buy that one.

I just can’t seem to get my 20” K off my ride stand.
The thing sounds excellent. An all around great ride. Rock, jazz, fusion, you name it.
My 21” Sabian Dry Ride and 20” Istanbul pre-split Turk just sit and stare.

I played a Paiste Signature 20" Full Ride yesterday and I loved it. Wash, ping and an awesome bell.

I´ve got this for more than 12 years, for Pop, rock, funk...PERFECT.
ZILDJIAN 20 " K CUSTOM BRILLIANT
Sweet, powerful and clean...
I have some others and played a lot from a rent company of a friend of mine, but this K is the king.

When I played it with my band, opening for Marcus Miller (w/ Ronald Brunner), Ronald told me he was looking for that model...he loved it. I think he was making a signature ride with ZIldjian, based on this 20 " K. He showed me the prototype and played it for me in the sound check.
Good Luck.

I've got a 20" K Custom Ride and that is pretty amazing, but I don't think it will work in quieter settings as its quite heavy and pingy.
My favourite ride is a 22" Sabian Artisan ride, that thing works anywhere and sounds amazing. I dug that Meinl Byzance Sand Ride...although slightly too washy for me liking.
Edit: Seems alright as long as you don't use too much shoulder on it, I'm liking it more everytime I listen to it....the drums on that clip sound bloody great as well, that floor tom!

How about 20 inch A custom or projection custom. One less cymbal to carry. It's a ride and a crash and washes like crazy. Fun.
For those who have found love in your K Customs hats off. Most of them that were made were pure shit. if you found the right one they sound and felt amazing. That's zildjian for ya

I've never heard K Custom Dark hats I didn't like. But I also know one pro trick is to put a light top (say a Quick Beat or an A Custom) on top of a K Custom Dark bottom, the effect is sublime.
