This is my first exposure to Joe Bonamassa! WOW! I'll be checking into his stuff for sure.

And, I love Weckl...maybe it's just me, but it didn't quite work. Maybe it's the grittiness of the music and the finesse of our man Weckl. The chemistry is just funny, though technically right there, imho.

Joe B is cool....he is from right near where I am in NY. Father has a music store here.
We cover "Pack It uP" and "You Upset me Baby"....which he covered ! and they are always fun to play.
The above tune, however, did not do much for me and is not a great sample of Joe's capabilities.

I was chatting w/ Dave yesterday, they were going for a really open sound on this one ... only 3 mics on the drums.

Sounds like the changes to Softly .... Stern loves writing different heads to standards.
