It's a good example of some very tasteful feet and hands blowing ...

Put some triggers on Vinnie's bass drum and then tell me. I've seen him blowing 16th note triplets like a demon but of course with his bass drum sound it sounds a bit sloppy.

could be just me, but I hear some toms in that double bass run part.

By the way, my copy of the Doug Lunn Project arrived today. Vinnie on all tracks. Better still, the tunes are engaging and worthwhile as music. Adding great players to the mix is a bonus. So, I'm endorsing the Doug Lunn ablum without reservation. Not a "chopsfest" but the highest level playing in context.
