Oh I'm sure Vince doesn't pay for any of those, and even if he did, the man is extremely wealthy.

I paid $450 for my G. Way The Studio. In the company of Longos and Bradys that's quite inexpensive.

Yeah I'm sure that he doesn't pay, it's so much exposure for these brand, it's all good for them that Vinnie can be seen with their product.

I hadn't seen those G. Way snares before (there's that exposure), I might order that copper one up.

I played one of the wood shell ones (can't remember the model) and it was really, really nice. Full sound, sensitive, fat, the whole deal. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the throw-off, which seemed fragile looking. If I was going to get one, I would ask for reassurance about it first.

Oh good call. I've been wanting a super nice copper snare for awhile and Dunnett is the leading contender for what I want, though the G Way is dang close for less.

I may be mistaken, but I think Dunnett took over the George Way name and makes those drums.

... really?!
So basically if you buy a G. Way, you're buying the badge, different lugs and a different strainer on a Dunnett snare?
Well bummer. Might as well just get the real thing then.
