It was merely pointed out that a part of the story wasn't credible.
The true essence of that part of the story seems to be: Vinnie has a double pedal
and he's better at using it than I (the gearslutz guy) am.

anyway vinnie can play a lot a potatoesfla stuff but that is not even the point .
according to vinni's interviews ,he learned to play on a click-track ON the job ....now when i see how great he became ,its just help me to work ...
i've seen vinnie live with sting , and even if a am a fan since long time ,i was stucked by the way he plays the songs LIKE a record : sound , time , taste , effects ...and the double pedal stuff ? .....and his right foot has weird angle ....

The double bass in this solo impresses me. And what impresses me is that I like the use of it as opposed to blistering speed(which doesn't really impress me)
