That is one expensive pizza.. and the camber cymbal is just too funny.

My only beef with Paiste is that given their manufacturing techniques, they should be cheaper instead of the most expensive. They do sound good though.

I would attribute the higher cost to being made in Switzerland, no?

I had a 2002 ride several years ago and it served me well. They make top quality cymbals for sure.

Maybe? Some sort of export tax? They are the most expensive of the big 3 here in the US, by a pretty substantial percentage too.

I played on one of the masters twenty rides last week and boy did it sound good, but I dunno if it sounded $550 good...

Higher labor/manufacturing costs.

I did a quick search. What's the price of a new Paiste Sign 18" fast crash in:

USA, mycymbal.com: $368,28 <=> €285
Netherlands: € 366,00
France: €349
Switzerland: CHF 445 <=> $ 475 <=> €368

Paiste's are much more expensive than Zildjian's or Sabian's in the Netherlands. Draw your conclusions .... Europeans pay way to much for their Paiste's :!:
