A couple months ago I was told by a very well connected individual who I can not reveal that Mangini was selected.
I believe this person to be very credible.
We"ll see...
I heard it was Donati.

I would like to see Virg get it, just cuz I'm a fan of his and think he could actually push the band in a different direction, have some kind of an influence on them because he's on that kind of level. Unfortunately with Mangini they can just go about their business, which for them might be priority.

I was thinking the same thing, but I almost wonder if Virg has TOO much chops for the band. Virg is like a 20-ounce sirloin for a band that makes a living feasting on a lot of hamburger. In a setting like that, I think it would be a challenge for our favorite Aussie to show restraint.

I saw the trailer and the first episode. I thought it was interesting and well done....this coming from a person who's never heard a DT song from beginning to end. Mangini is insane. Looking forward to the other episodes.

The drama unfolds....!!
I'm rooting for Virg, but I think Mike is the inevitable. Steve summed it nicely.
The Berk Student comment is hilarious

It should be between Virgil and Mangini, but what is Roddy doing in the list, as far as i know DT don't have many sections with double bass singles at 280bpm

I don't know what to think about all this!
It's just a drummer of a famous band leaving and being replaced...
Why making it an international event?
Okay, it works for business...!
