James black is so nasty with the funk. I wonder why he didnt get more accolades for his work.

Wonderful music and amazing drumming.

Before I even listened to the documentary, Black's photo reminded me a lot of a friend of my son's.

As I listened to the story of how escalating drug use led to his death, the similarity increased; my son's friend died in a similar manner.
