Paiste remends me of Penn tennis balls. "Paiste, you've heard one, you've heard them all."JCE wrote:Please forgive me if this has been posted before!

If you' referring to the same model, then yes, they are very consistent. But unless you've played/heard every line, you really don't know Paiste.Henry II wrote:"Paiste, you've heard one, you've heard them all."
That's true! I don't know Paiste other than how consistent/homoginized their cymbals sound to me. Not that that's a bad thing. I like the process of trying out 3 cymbals from the same line, with the same specs, and hearing 3 completely different instruments. Hahaha!DSOP wrote:If you' referring to the same model, then yes, they are very consistent. Habit? Comfort zone? Hahaha! I'm just being a bit facetious. But, I don't think I could just pick a cymbal off the rack and buy it, even if I liked the way it sounded. I don't trust my own ear that much. I'd still have to bring in my own cymbal to compare it to, try out a bunch and listen for differences.DSOP wrote:Henry II wrote:I like the process of trying out 3 cymbals from the same line, with the same specs, and hearing 3 completely different instruments.DSOP wrote:Why?
