Drumhead did a lengthy interview with him in the last edition. He and Mover went through a bunch of recordings he played on with Zevon etc.

I love his playing and value it highy, some of those fills are so slick, and coupled with a heavy groove. He is one of my idols.

He said they were all wrecked when they cut that.

The Peg groove is as epic as Josie...Aja is just stupid influential.

This groove is simple and not overplayed and ALL about feel!
This was the groove Porcaro made a loop of and listened to
on repeat.

Keep in mind this guy did the music for the TV show Everybody Loves Raymond.
Is there another session drummer that took the musical helm of a TV show before
that was a huge hit for nine years?

Like his brother, he's been around the biggest names and still was able to put his own personality and stamp on the music. Pretty incredible.

Marotta, Gadd or Guerin? I believe that's Gadd, but it sounds like it could by any of those three.

Maybe that's what Buddy was bitching about when he said "every drummer sounds the same dammit!"

He and Gadd played together on the majority of the tracks of John Tropea's first four albums:

Tropea, Short Trip to Space, To Touch You Again, and Live at Mikell's.
