Any love for the dual drummers of the Doobie Brothers here? (nice alliteration btw
)
Great grooves, very musical - and, as dual drummers, they never stepped on each other's toes, imho...

NOT a double drummer fan, but they did it great!!! Agree totally...worked
very well together. TIGHT drumming.

I saw them in the 90s, great show. Really fun.
They were throwing a rubber chicken at each other all night.

John Hartman co-founded the group with Tom Johnston, and originally was the sole drummer, until Michael Hossack joined in 1971; he was replaced by Keith Knudsen in 1973.
I prefer the Harman/Hossack years in terms of double drumming, on the
Toulouse Street,
The Captain and Me, and
What were once Vices are now Habits albums.
It really sounds like two drummers, the drums have a great Rock sound, and they sound great together.
Hits like
Listen to the Music,
Rockin' Down the Highway,
Jesus is Just Alright,
Natural Thing,
Long Train Runnin', and
China Grove are good examples.
