That's amazing stuff. I went to pick up the record, but Andy's not on it, so I passed. Bummer.

DSOP, I agree... I was also disappointed, but then watched this clip with Chiverton(who I hadn't heard of) which is the guy on the album...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OY8qcjnzaeA

Very good player... the fill he does at 2:16 is nice! A lot of other hip drumming happening throughout.

I may still have to purchase it... sounds like it might be pretty sick.

** Just a side note (my adrenaline still pumping from it so I felt like sharing)... Just finished the Drum fantasy camp in Clevelend with Weckl, Erskine, Steve Smith, Gavin, and Chris Coleman... amazing would be putting it lightly. Everyone was super cool, very informative, and kicked my ass. If ANY of the drum family here has the opportunity to study with Coleman, do not, again DO NOT pass it up. Not to take anything away from the other incredible instructors, but Chris is WAY deeper than the Gospel type drumming that most perceive his playing as being. Hell, just to experience him as a person was inspiring enough(he is one of the most down to earth, happy, and enjoyable people you will ever meet), and then to have him share his pathway that he took practice-wise to get where he is as a player, was to put it lightly: an ass whooping revelating experience.

I love the question about why he chose Yamaha:

"That's the sound I'm looking for. My favorite drummer is ... wasss ... a Yamaha player and that was his sound all through his ..."

LOL. You know he's dying to say:

"Vinnie's Yamaha sound was the bomb, then he went and screwed it up."
