I haven't been on in awhile...I ran across this recently and thought I'd share. I don't recall seeing it up before. Tom Brechtlein with Chick and Pattitucci in 1988. An interesting version of Quartet 2 PartII that goes in a bit of a different direction and has Tom playing a very exciting solo. He's def one of the unsung "badasses." Seeing Tom play in the clip above reminded me of my teacher, Paul Brochu. I'm not exactly sure why, but I think they share some qualities together. They both are tremendous players that's for sure.
