It´s just a little joke, playing with the words...There is another Vinnie (with Paiste since 1999).

That video is strange, Vinnie allowing this footage with another cymbal brand:
This is a "well" filmed video, with the future idea of launching it to the web.
That is how rumors get started. ;)

It's a rehearsal in a non-descript room, for a song he originally record and has since played live 1,000 times, with an artist he's played with for 20 years. It would be bizarre to me if he showed much passion in that setting, although it might explain a few things if he did. No crime there for me. Vinnie's human. That actually makes me feel a little better.
“Let's try some of my songs.” Dave Grohl, top sign drummer will be fired.

... sound and video images don't match .... Just listening to the footage I don't think he's holding back that much....

(... watched the footage couple of times, it could be that sound is off sync horribly , but you can clearly hear the ride, while you can see vinnie playing the hi-hat ....)

I wouldn't expect VC moving to Paiste either, but it's a bit odd. It's a well prepared video of official rehearsals for a big tour with Sting. Of all people in the world, one would expect VC would have not only a shitload of Zildjians around, but also worldwide logistics. He's using his Gretsch kit after all and everyone's using the gear that will be used for the tour (as in any serious tour rehearsals).
Sure, it's all speculation, but you gotta admit it's all really weird.
About the tour, it looks just awesome. I wish they'd use that lineup for an European tour.

Nothing against Peter Tickle, but I wonder if Sting had Eddie Jobsons phone number. A keyboard player and amazing violinist all in one =))

Yeah, no keyboardist on this current tour...somewhat like the Broken Music tours of 2005 and 2006, where the format was stripped down to the bare bones of two guitarists, bass and drums. But this time out, the lineup is augmented by two multi-instrumentalists to add a bit more color. In addition to violin, Peter Tickell plays mandolin. And backing vocalist Jo Lawry also supplies violin and assorted percussion. She is also a capable guitarist if needed, but I doubt if that would be necessary as Miller and his kid have that covered.
Here is a snippet of the violin solo at the end of Never Coming Home:

And as you can tell in the picture of last night's show, Vinnie did use Zildjians.
