Got to meet Trevor working on his house in college...lived just below the H in the Hollywood sign on a culdesac. It was a blistering hot summer day around the Big Generator recording. Fans were stopping by his home and he wanted a fence put up. His wife came out with lemonade and we sat by his pool to catch our breath. Extremely normal guy...very cool! Never would know he was playing with YES. No ego whatsoever...it was all about how we were doing. Wife was equally as cool.

I remember a post Steve where you were playing to Big Generator for a week or so many years ago. Always dug that post.

From Cissy Strut or something else? Can't play media at work or I'd check. You could also think of the above combo as 4 bars of 4/4 with odd accent groupings....

I hear the main theme as

4/4 -> 7/8 -> 4/4 -> 9/8

, i.e. the first phrase is always 4/4 then 7 the first time, 9 the 2nd.

Yikes, the material on that Slama disc sure sounds like it was written and recorded a quarter of a century ago. That must be some reissue, right?

Colaiuta is on guitarist Dominic Miller's forthcoming release, 5th House. Bassists Jimmy Johnson and Pino Palladino are also involved, as well as percussionist Rhani Krija.
