Give Me Some CHEESE!

Postby Pocketplayer » Sat Nov 09, 2013 9:50 pm

At my dad's house and ran into this CD...Dog Cheese from early 80's at the Spud.
Been posted before, but always fun to hear. Where else could I post this?
Reading Vinnie's bio, it is fun to catch up where he was at in his career around
this time...I believe he was with Joni Mitchell Band. VC apologists can correct.

I actually love that synth sound...

Of course. I have a lot of Vinnie bootlegs and clinics in a box somewhere.
Most have been shared at one time or another, but there is always a new
generation that hasn't heard. One clinic in particular is from the mixing board
and imo, the best ever. If you like listening to the man talk, he talks...a lot!

Please dad...I hope you didn't toss out!

This was the band that I really dreamed of seeing. By the time I got to LA, in Jan 98, Vinnie had pretty much given up playing round town and when I went to the Baked Potato there really wasn't anybody great playing the week I was in town.

I have a really bad quality bootleg of a Dog Cheese show that was late 80's. It sounds like they hadn't played in a while (from what the announcer was saying) and they play '5 Storks' which is a Karizma tune. Amazing stuff and I really love listening to this music.

Thanks PocketPlayer, I think I must have this shit somewhere, but it was great to listen it right now.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...
