I was never a big fan of ROF.

The title track from ’Lapse of Reality’ being an exception

YES...dug this title track! Lead vocals worked on this tune for me...
His snare really cuts through...POP-A-LICIOUS...Ring of Fire was good
for that genre and if it was the 80s they would have been a huge band!

I don't like metal at all. Just thought it might interest the Virgil fans.

Virg is from Krypton! EXTREME respect for his humanity
He needs to be studied by the greatest minds to give
maybe 10% of his "____________" to the average person
whatever "___________" proves to be!

He says he had some genetic disposition...he cant
put a finger on it which is what--talent/giftedness/blessing?

Not to get too heavy here, but could this be the reverse of
the "sins of the father to future generations"? The inheritance
of blessings from earlier generations...he had to put in the work
but i am referring to the sense of identity...that DEEP sense of
THIS IS WHO I AM...which fuels the practice especially with
supportive parents (security/sense of being safe) which feeds
upon itself towards individual accomplishment...he was gigging
at 3yo w his parents...what a blessing towards future endeavors!

Just Pocketplayer blowing in thought...

On the Philly Joe Jones transcriptions...

Today it is exactly 25 years ago that I met Virg and a fledgling friendship formed.

I've made a Spotify playlist with 2 hours of my favorite stuff of his:

I've also collected some of my favorite Youtube videos of him in this playlist:

And here are my highlights from the last 25 years:
