Steve, if you are reading this, I would really like to know where you stand on the current tangent in this topic, about distribution. I noticed your DVD has Hal Leonard on it, which seems to put you in a unique position to chime in.

I'm afraid I'll probably disappoint. I'm rather passive about it really. If I made a living selling musical products my conviction might be deeper. My DVD doesn't sell a whole lot because awareness is low mostly (and folks might not be interested obviously).
Things are super tough for musicians and engineers these days, but some folks are making it work. I would prefer to be positive and roll with the changes. The quality of my personal work trumps all for me, but I'm not involved in a lot and the things I am involved with I have control over so I can ensure that quality.

I almost feel unqualified because I come from a place of leisure with the whole thing. I've never been good at being business minded. Knowing how the system works, and navigating it successfully are different.

Also I feel like this is a shitty answer so I'm going to stop typing now.

That actually is a good and very honest answer, Steve, and I feel it resonates with how I feel and where I come from too.

I didn't mean about your personal feelings, I was actually wondering about the distribution aspect being that you would be considered an independent by a large majority but you have a widely available DVD. It is, of course something you have evry right to be private about.
