I used to have a set of Cherry Wood RCs a long, long time ago, and these drums have that same richness to them.

It's a Ludwig Hammered Bronze which I've had for over 20 years. I modified it shortly after I bought it. I put a Tama throw-off and an adjustable Yamaha butt side. Works and sounds great.Josiah wrote:Yamaha does the best finishes. Beautiful kit!
Nice snare too! That the Roy Haynes model?
Easy to swap out.bstocky wrote: P-85 strainers suck.
Sometimes. Not every throw-off has the same mounting hole pattern. My strainer of choice is usually a Tama model, although the new Sonor model looks very nice too. I don't think Sonor's is a direct swap either. Ludwig's P-86 is a much nicer strainer, but I still prefer others. I can pretty much get by with any strainer, but the P-85 was enough for me to get out my electric drill and go nuts.MRhet wrote:Easy to swap out.bstocky wrote: P-85 strainers suck.
