No, the bands recording new music that I enjoy aren't performing anywhere around here very often. Kneebody would be cool to see, but even their stuff is a bit grating after a while. I'm not interested very much in math-jazz or pyrotechnics. I enjoyed seeing Peter Bernstein's trio a couple years ago. Wayne Krantz didn't do it for me, so he's off my list too. I'm planning to see Mike Stern with Chambers in a couple weeks, and I'll go see Oz Noy if he's around again.
