That video gave me Frisson.
Killer snare sound - great tune - amazing job matching the intended energy of each song section with the drumming. The big fill to the bridge - love it.
Mostly though (and this may sound corny or weird) after watching Vinnie for so long now - I love seeing what he's feeling through his facial expressions. You can tell he's riding the wave of musical energy/feeling/emotion and that's literally driving his playing. A lot of musicians are like this - but not all.

So true. Not too many have the musical freedom to play those kinds of ideas in that kind of flow state. That fill back into the verse at 1:36 just kills me every time.

Love the Vinnie / Faith Hill stuff. The Fireflys Faith Hill album is really good.

We all know Vinnie's audition with FZ, the one with Sting is not bad too, and so funny !!! :D
